| A member of TAAMN in the early 1990s, Ying-Yuan
Lee (right), deputy representative of Taipei Economic and Cultural
Representative Office in the United States (TECRO), visited the
Twin Cities on July 8, 2001. He met with Minnesota Secretary of
State Mary Kiffmeyer and Vincent Wang, president of Formosan Association
for Public Affairs-Minnesota Chapter at a reception hosted by TAAMN.
Lee returned to Taiwan to become chief of staff in the Executive
Yuan in January 2002. He later ran for mayor of Taipei, capital
of Taiwan, but lost to the incumbent. |
