Mei-Hsiu Hwang: The Life and Death of Formosan Black Bears

Mei-Hsiu Hwang (center in the middle picture below), a Ph.D. candidate in the conservation biology program at the University of Minnesota, talked about her field research on black bears in Taiwan on February 9, 2003. Co-sponsored by TAAMN and TSA, the seminar was well attended. At the end of her talk, John Ko (right in the left picture below), president of TAAMN, presented Mei-Hsiu a Teddy bear in appreciation of her effort to raise the awareness of the life and death of the Formosan black bears.
