Chun Chieh Lin Visit, June 15-18, 2004
Chun Chieh Lin (first picture), a 27-year old Taiwanese from Taipei, decided to bike across North America alone in three months. He flew to Vancouver, Canada, on May 17, 2004 and started his journey to Quebec. Inspired by the visit of the "Bike Family" to Minnesota last year, he included Minnesota as the first stop of his routes through the United States. He arrived in the Twin Cities on June 15. Ray Tsai (second picture, second from left), president of TAAMN, hosted a welcome dinner at the Peking Garden Restaurant. Six members of TAAMN also attended the dinner: Raymond Lu, Shr-Wei Chen, Cheng-Cher Huang, Susan Huang, Chung-Linn Kao, and Tsan-Kuo Chang. Lin left for Madison, Wisconsin, on June 18. He completed his journey in August.
